New Main Brine Intake Pumping Station – APC

ConEx was contracted by the specialized Turkish Marine Works SenerArdaInsaat for Arab Potash Company to develop a new main brine intake pumping station at the Dead Sea, Jordan. The project scope includes civil works and electromechanical works  including installation of two 80 inch diameter steel pipes (with valves and accessories) running from the pumps head platform along the jetty, new access road, causeway connecting to the existing piping, in addition to installation of brackish and fresh water piping (with valves and accessories) running parallel to the brine pipes. 

The scope of work also includes installation of anti-vacuum valves and isolating valves as well as the construction of two reinforced concrete building located on the causeway head. 

The electrical works in the project were highly specialized in Installation of 33KV and 12KV medium voltage switchgear, MV cables, main distribution and final distribution board and SACDA system over Fiber optic cables in addition to the instrumentation devices.

Supply and install low voltage cables, distribution board, UPS, Filed instrumentation, control cables, fiber optic cables, cable ladders, etc…. Buildings are equipped with firefighting system (FM200), security system (CCTV), fire alarm system, and all monitored through central control room located at offshore.
